Abstract:With the increasingly intense market competition, railway transport "real-freight system" revolution is implemented and the e-commerce platform for railway freight transport is opened. Then the railway freight transport can receive the freight demand online and has an influence on the organization, management mode and the business process. The railway departments how to adapt to these changes is worthy of our deep research. Therefore, studying the process optimization and reengineering of the railway freight transport based on the e-commerce environment is a strategic choice to adapt to the market. It also has great practical significance.This paper first described the meaning of railway freight transport e-commerce, analyzed the impact of e-commerce on the railway freight transport process, and thus led to the significance of the process reengineering under the e-commerce environment. Secondly, based on the introduction of the railway freight transport process, the e-commerce mode of railway freight transport process was analyzed, the model of the sending and arrival operation process was established by the Petri net theory, and then analyzed their characteristics, pointed out the main existing problems. Thirdly, according to the main problems existing in the railway freight transport process, proposed the design idea, the objectives and implementation approaches of the railway freight transport process reengineering. Besides, optimized the process of general cargo, bulk cargo and the express freight train, on this basis, the organization structure of the railway freight transport is adjusted. Finally, taking the process cycle time as the simulation parameters, we used ExSpect software to do the simulation research of the process. Comparing the model simulation data before and after the reengineering, it showed that the redesigned process improved the execution efficiency and shortened the cycle time.
