ABSTRACT:In recent years, as China’s rapid economic development, land resources cannot meet the needs,development and utilization of underground spaceget widespread attention all over the world.TBM dust ventilation system as the keysupporting system, plays an important role in the safety of the tunnel workers, the normal operation of electrical and mechanical equipment, and the concentrationcontrol of temperature,dust and other harmful substances. Through consulting a large number of domestic and foreign literature,based on deeply analyzed the principles of TBM dust ventilation system.Further analyzed the influence rules of the different TBM dust ventilation pipes’matching parameters on the dust concentration and distribution of temperaturein the tunneling region. The main works in the paper are listed as follows:(1) This paper introduces the relevant principles and ventilation mode of the TBM ventilation system,deeply analyzes the major producing heat inside the tunnel and heat dissipation,summarizes the generation mechanism of dust,the particle size distribution of dust and the motion law of dust and so on in tunnel boring process. Based on these,designs the TBM ventilation system.(2)Using CFD software,established the numerical model of ventilation and dust removal system simulated under three different parameter condition of dust ventilation: pipe’s air inlet position,suction outlet positionand pumping pressure ratio. Obtained the distribution rule of dust and temperature in the tunnel under different matching parameters.By comparing the numerical simulation results,getting the optimal matching parameters about air inlet position,suction outlet position and pumping pressure ratio,providing theoretical basis for the design of the TBM ventilation system.(3)Using similarity principle, established ventilation and dust removal systemexperiment bench. Test the air speed,air quantity and air pressure of the inner flow fieldof experiment system, under differentair inlet position, suction outlet position and pumping pressure ratio.Through comparing the test results from similarity model with the air quantity and temperaturedata teste from TBM construction site,verifies the correctness of CFD numerical simulation results,andprovides practical guidanceon thedesign and optimization ofTBM ventilation and dust removal system.
