Study On The City Hall Square Landscape Design Of Heilongjiang Province

This paper mainly studies the city hall square landscape design in Heilongjiang province. The city hall square, as one main type of urban plazas, can not only show the charming image of a city, but also reflect the social democracy in this district. Heilongjiang is the biggest province in northeast of china, and this paper researches12prefecture-level cities in Heilongjiang, except the Great Khingan Range area. The special climate conditions and cultural characteristics of Heilongjiang take shape the city’s geographic location and historical evolution. So there are some constraints and unique elements of landscape design in Heilongjiang, and this paper focus on the city hall square landscape design in Heilongjiang province based on the regional characteristics there.This paper, first of all, through the method of literature collection, introduces the development history of the city hall squares both at home and abroad, and analysis the differences between them, in order to explore the characteristics of the Chinese city hall square. Secondly, it summarizes the related concepts and correlation theories and abstracts the design methods of city hall square landscape in Heilongjiang. Thirdly, through the method of field survey, it investigates the present conditions of city hall square landscape in Heilongjiang province and analyses the climate, land layout, and the characteristics of Heilongjiang’s city hall squares landscape design elements. And then it expounds its problems and reasons. In the end, the paper concludes the principles and strategies in city hall square landscape design.This research focuses on on-site investigations in12cities and analyses the characteristics in three aspects and studies the methods and the pertinent strategies in city hall square landscape design. Eventually, in the hope that, it would make the city hall square in Heilongjiang province not only satisfied the functional requirements, but also becoming the urban public space for leisure and entertainment.
