Rivers water system is the carrier of water resources, an important part of theecological environment and an important support of economic society development.In recent years, with the acceleration of urbanization, some minor, non-main streamsof the river continue to be artificial and canal. It makes the simplified and trunk trendof water system structure are more and more obvious and causes flooding catharsispoor, ecological environment deterioration, etc. the frequent secondary environmentalproblems. In view of the severe situation, minister Chen lei in MWR put forward theidea of IRSN. Currently IRSN as a flood control new strategy connectivity under anew situation has been attached and therefore carry out the study of the pattern andthe function of IRSN under urbanization has the vital significance.Located cross Yellow River and Huaihe River Basin, Zhengzhou city began theprocess of urbanization since the1980s, in order to compete for limited landresources a lot of the rivers were occupied, so that the water rate greatly reduced.Especially in recent years, increasing urbanization makes the river morphology andfunction of Zhengzhou changed.The simplified trend of water system structure eventually led to a decline in riverflood storage functions.Therefore the study of the incidence of urbanization on thepattern and function of IRSN and the reveal of the relationship between the pattern ofIRSN and the function of IRSN has the vital significance for administration to carryout reconstruction and rehabilitation work of Zhengzhou City water system networkIn this paper, by studying the concept of the pattern and the function of IRSN athome and abroad the main research contents are as follows:(1) Through in-depth analysis and study of the evolution of the historical river ofZhengzhou City, the historical factors that influence water system changes have beensummarized, and it has laid the foundation for the research of urbanization on riversystem of Zhengzhou city.(2) Construct a set of index system to evaluate the impact of urbanization on thepattern of IRSN quantitatively. A set of index system has been constructed based on landscape ecology and other disciplines to evaluate the pattern of IRSN in region,water system network diagram of Zhengzhou city has been extracted using ENVIsoftware and further the impact of urbanization on the pattern of IRSN in ZhengzhouCity has been analyzed.(3) Construct a set of index system to evaluate the impact of urbanization on thefunction of IRSN quantitatively. Index system and index standard have beenconstructed from two aspects of natural and society function and pair analysis methodhas been set to evaluate different periods of the function of IRSN of Zhengzhou city.(4) Analysis of the correlation of the index between the pattern of IRSN and thefunction of IRSN based on statistical methods. The threshold value of the indicatorsof pattern of IRSN based on the position of the function of water system ofZhengzhou in future has been initially determined.
