Static Var Generator (SVG) is a flexible AC transmission system animportant controller, it is the power electronics technology, computertechnology and modern control technology used in power systems, byproperly adjusting the device side of the AC output voltage of the phaseand amplitude, can be achieved for the compensation of reactive powerdemand of the system, thereby suppressing voltage fluctuation andincrease system stability. SVG has a wider operating range than previousreactive power compensation equipment, better control performance andfaster response.This paper analyzes the significance of the generation of reactivepower and reactive power compensation, comparing the advantages anddisadvantages of various reactive compensation devices, introduces theSVG current development at home and abroad and its working principleand control methods. Based on in depth study of the balance of thethree-phase unbalanced load compensation principle on the proposedphase generator reactive power compensation control method based chainstill unbalance compensation at the time. The coordinate transformationmethod does not require complex, with little control variable calculationis easy to realize the advantages. This article is designed based on SVGcontrol system hardware and software parts of the DSP architecture, thecontrol circuit to TMS320LF2407A as the core, DSP control board, IGBTdrive several parts of the circuit, the signal acquisition and signalconditioning circuits, and the like. System software is mainly designedmain program, interrupt sampling subroutine, FFT routines andsubroutines PWM occurred several parts. PC intelligent monitoringsystem is a very important part of SVG, SVG this paper the design ofintelligent monitoring systems were studied.In this paper, rope digging coal mine in Guizhou century RSVG project is a prototype of a high-pressure RSVG and site commissioningtests were analyzed to study the application of RSVG combination ofreactive power compensation theory. Experimental results show that theRSVG chain can effectively improve the stability of the power systemvoltage and power factor can be improved, with a good prospect. RSVGcan effectively suppress higher harmonics having a phase compensationfunction may also eliminate the three-phase inductive load imbalancecaused resistance, perfectly solve the problem grid heavy work loadcaused.
