In recent years, forward converter with its high reliability,simple driving circuit, the output current ripple is small, low voltage and high current output, easy for multiple output and high cost performance ratio and is widely used in independent in the design of medium and small power sources. In this paper, the advantages and disadvantages of forward converter is analyzed by reference to a large number of relevant literature both at home and abroad, put forward the active clamp soft switching PWM forward converter. In the contemporavy society situation of power advocate enviromentol protection and energy savirg,it is meanirgful to have in-depth study of active clamp forward converter.This paper analyzes the steady principle of active clamp soft switching PWM forward converter, designed and produced a power of100W active clamp soft switching PWM forward converter device. This paper not only gives the design process of main circuit, control circuit and drive circuit, but also for circuit parameter calculation and selection of all components.Finally,The paper on the device performance testing,the experimental measurement results are consistent with the theoretical analysis.Acheived the zero voltage switch,well reduce the switching loss and voltage stress.Acheived satisfactory results.
