ShiChuan DiaoQiao shoal in the DaXia reservoir of the Yellow River, is the periodof the Yellow River in Gansu, the upper reaches of the starting point for a small GorgeHydropower Station, the downstream end of Daxia Hydropower Station. ShiChuanDiaoQiao shoal is one of the main navigation-hampering shoals in the DaXia reservoirregion in the Yellow River, badly affect the ships’ safe-sailing across this riversection.This paper is based on “DaXia reservoir of the Yellow River shippingconstruction engineering”in“The waterway development in Gansu province”.Based onthe analysis of nature of navigation obstruction, combined with river model test research,analysis the flow condition for navigation after regulation. This paper applies riverbedevolution analysis, mathematical model calculation combining with physical model test,and achieved the following main results:(1)Through collecting the hydrological, sediment and oyher datas,analysis shows theriver navigation obstructing characterstics and causes, shows the shallow,curved,rapidand dangerous navigation obstructing characterstics.(2)Daxuetan shoals’ plane scale is1:100and vertical scale is1:50non normal rivermodel of navigation-obstruction characteristic analysis and regulation scheme research.By the comprehensive theory analysis and the river model, regulation scheme ofRegulation scheme four was recommended. Condition of obstruction to navigation isimproved, which points out the direction of comprehensive regulation for the waterwayof ShiChuan DiaoQiao shoal river reach.(3)Takeing advantage of datas of ShiChuang DiaoQiao shoal’s water line andvelocity,calibrate and verificate the bluided the two-dimensional flow model.And usedthe model to calculate and analyse the current factors before and after theregulation:after the regulation the water line section is more gentle,vertical andhorizontal gradient reduced, the flow velocity controlled in the standard rang and flow isgentle,what is good for ship navigation.The conclusions have a high degree ofcoincidence with the river engineering model.
