With the continuous development of our transportation construction, there havebeen various changes in highway tunneling which need an urgent transform fromtraditional mode to mechanized one. New technologies and devices have been launched,regarding increasing research in recent years.Our mechanized construction is still in early stage, in aspects of deviceintroduction and usage, theoretical and technical research, self-developed productsresearch, etc. And mechanized construction allocation, new technologies and devicesapplication in tunneling are not thoroughly studied. So, it is necessary to study theworking mode, mechanical properties and technology in order to support new deviceusing and new technology spreading, and to improve the level of tunnel mechanization.This paper aims on studying the tunneling working mode, system properties andmechanical configuration of machinery unit which is based on computer-controlled rockdrilling jumbo and large wet-spraying unit, selecting a mountain highway tunnel in ourcountry as subject.Mechanized construction technological process of holes tunneling and supportingare based on New Austrian Tunneling Method and road building machine. According totunneling technical requirements and principles of selecting machines, mating methodsand factors of construction machine are analyzed which combine characters andproperties of common-used tunneling machine. Then single working mode, usingcomputer-controlled rock drilling jumbo and large wet-spraying unit as main machine,is put forward. Finally we get the result that factors of each subsystems are in mutualcontrolling and influential relationship, after dividing and analyzing tunneling andtimbering working system.We analyze the statistics from the site and the properties of single and machinerygroup system with mathematical statistics and theory of random service system, andfind that the properties of each single machine show certain probability distribution andthey can also judge the working state of each subsystem.Supported by main factors of tunneling and supporting process, and mechanizedworking mode, the evaluating system uses working state of each system, operationefficiency, progress arrangement, quality standard and construction cost as key criterionto evaluate group working mode. We also get the deploy method of group machine in static and dynamic state by studying group machine formation and deploy principles.Static deploy is initial configuration of machines while dynamic deploy is used to guidetunneling technology application and dynamic adjustment of machines when conditionschange. Therefore, group machine deploy method can be successfully used to improvemechanized tunneling standard.
