Stayed conceived in the19th century, while the cable is limited to materials and craftsmanship, built shortly thereafter eliminated, and with the emergence of high-strength steel stay cables, cable-stayed bridge in the world quickly promoted. With the advances in materials and workmanship, cable-stayed lighter, stronger and more reliable, but also increasingly simple and effective. For the sake of a more stable and reliable cable, cable-stayed production gradually industrialized and standardized, So the cable plant processes and quality control methods would determine the key quality of cable-stayed。This paper has made a comprehensive study to the manufacturing technique and quality control method of parallel wire cable on the basic of the influence of the new and old parallel wire cable production line for product quality of Wanqiao jiaotong technology development co., LTD in Chongqing. Firstly this paper introduced the technological process of parallel wire cable and analyzed the architecture of parallel wire cable. And then we described the process flow and each working procedure’s function of tradition parallel wire cable. Also we described the detail of Methods and key points of parallel wire cable factory. Then an adaptability analysis was made to the Workmanship of. We analyzed the problem of Workmanship of tradition parallel wire cable by the quality map, especially for the instability of twsit forming and extrusion molding step. We found the reason and some key methods were proposed to improve the new production line. By doing the,we The created an automatic production line of parallel wire cable and the ability to product parallel wire cable which are resistance to wind and rain. In the next step, we researched the problems which can be happen in the new production line, especially for the setting of technological parameters. Also, we analyzed the key points of anti-corrosion of the new technology In the last part, a comprehensive evaluation model was raised to the workmanship, quality control and production efficiency by analyzing a parallel wire cable production case in one cross-sea bridge and made a relevant conclusion.
