The stayed cable obviously is geometrical nonlinear structures. With the rapid increment of the span of cable-stayed bridge, the length of stayed cable also increases obviously. The longest stayed cable is reached 577m, and its projection length is 536m. Original theory needs to be studied. With reference to Jing-Yue Yangtze River Highway Bridge, this thesis carried on a more thorough study on cable stays static analysis,Characters research and cable-stayed bridge construction control theory. The main contents of the research as follows:(1)The analytic solutions of stay cable based on catenary and parabolic profile are summarized, which can be applied to practice conveniently. The numericsal solution of stay cable based on catenary element is summarized. Two-node catenaries cable element with arbitrary rigid arms are introduced.(2)With reference to stayed cables of Jing-Yue Yangtze River Highway Bridges, the rules of characters based on cables different tension and projection length are studied. The results on unstressed cable length, end force, sag and dip angles of parabolic formula of stayed cables are close to catenary element. Time-tracing method based on parabolic formula has great error influence on bridge internal force state and accumulative displacement for finite element analysis of extra-long cable.(3)Forward- iteration method on calculating cable-stayed bridge stress-free shapes is studied. Based on self-adaptive stress-free shapes control method is emphatically introduced, with reference to JingYue Yangtze River Highway Bridge, forward-iteration calculation is carried on in accord with construction progress. The sources of stayed cables error also have been investigated.
