After the completion of the hydraulic engineering project, it can greatly improvethe channel dimensions, navigation condition, and increase and adjust the downstreamlow-flow. However, the dam hinders a large amount of water and sediment, this willchange the natural river water and sediment process and break the natural riverbedbalance. It leads to the riverbed erosion and deposition in new deformation untilreaching a new equilibrium. In addition, the unsteady flow caused by the peak loadregulating operation of hydropower stations, will lead to downstream water level andvelocity changing at one moment. It brings larger influence on the ship’s navigationcondition. In the regulating operation of the reservoir, water carrying capacity increases,it will speed up the downstream river channel scour, riverbed incised and water levellowering, produces problems such as lack of channel depth, affects the downstreamchannel dimensions, ports along the river and the normal operation of the hydraulicstructures. So the study of power station clear water’s effects of berthing water level ofdownstream port is very necessary.so it’s necessary to study of hydropower dtationrelease of clear water influence on the downstream water level in the port area.Associated with the project "Ganlanba power plant water discharged to waterwaysstable Manting Dashaba impact study", to study the theory, methods and practicalapplication of2D flow sediment mathematical model, the main work is as follows:①Based on collect the prototype data, design and production of abnormal movablebed physical model,by this model,measuring the flow pattern, water and riverbederosion and deposition and the data obtained can lay the foundation for the verificationof mathematical model.②Establish Two-Dimensional Mathematical model of Mantign,according to thecalculated and experimental data,the simulation results are in good agreement with thedata obtained in model tests.It shows the correctness and effectiveness of model andnumerical simulation method,which can be applied in the caluation of the actual rivererosion and deposition and sediment flow simulation, and can ensure the accuracy andreliability of the calculations.③Select two different discharge process, analyze the hydraulic characteristics ofthe flow within the power plant downstream port area.one is the flow rate, get the velocity trends in the port area flow through the analysis of inter-annual velocity andannual flow rate difference; one is level amplitude, by power plants discharged in theprocess flow analyze within the port level date luffing, and though the design flowanalyze hours luffing, then get can meet the safety of the ship berthing.④Calculate the drawdown amount of Port and the average cut amount of riverbed.Get in bed scour volume changes and the flow of water depth of wharf apron changesover time, the last though fitting get river-bed deepened how to influence harbor water,to regulate the flow of power plant operation provides a theoretical reference value.
