With the development of China’s western development strategy in recent years, thewest economy developed quickly,and the expressway network in mountainous area willgradually improve.As the mountainous topography and coastal plains have much greatdifference in road construction in the mountains, it will encounter a variety of complexproblems, especially the Soft soil foundation treatment in mountain area. Because of theunique engineering features of the mountains soft soil,some soft ground treatmentmethods for coastal or plains may not achieve the desired treatment effect when dealingwith soft ground in the mountains. This makes soft foundation treatment become arepresentative research.This paper, on the basis of data collected in the project, summarize the physicaland mechanical characteristics, failure modes of soft soil GuiZhou mountains. At thesame time, it also summarize the methods for handling soft ground mountain.According to the characteristics of mountain highway soft soil, the paper analyzes twotypical methods which are used to hand soft ground mountain, namely fly ash cushionmethod and CFG pile composite foundation method.According to the topographic features of Hang Hui highway Guizhou Zunyi Bijiesixteenth contract segment, the paper select the fly ash replacement cushion method tohandle soft ground. it also design and calculate the replacement cushion, Combinedwith the deformation data from the project pre embedded monitoring foundationsettlement plate,contrast and analysis The two section of the settlement value,analysiswith PLAXIS software modeling. Using the calculated value and the measuredsettlement of the reliability of the software simulation results and combining theeconomy to comprehensively evaluate the applicability of the replacement of fly ashcushion method used for soft foundation treatment in mountainous areas.According to the topographic features of Hang Hui highway Guizhou Zunyi Bijieeighteenth contract segment, we select CFG pile composite foundation treatment tohand soft ground and from the technical and economic, comprehensively evaluate theapplicability of soft foundation treatment in mountainous. In technic, we first designCFG pile composite foundation,again from deformation data from the projectmonitoring foundation settlement plate, analysis The integrity of pile, the bearingcapacity of single pile, the bearing capacity of composite foundation, stress ratio of pile to soil, ground surface settlement, layered settlement. With the help of PLAXISsoftware modeling, contrast and analysis the calculation results and the measuredresults,finally, analysis Bearing stiffness, pile spacing, pile length, Cushion stiffnessinfluence on the reinforcement effect of CFG pile composite foundation. Combiningwith the economic, we comprehensively evaluate the applicability of the CFG pilecomposite foundation on soft foundation treatment in mountain area in order toprovide a guide for construction.
