With the rapid development of economic and engineering construction, a lot of construction waste of the old building structures are formed. As a new type of rock and soil technology which is developed in the recent years, the composite foundation has been widely used in the building construction, the engineering of the railway and highway. However, there are still a lot of problems which is solved in the technical and reasonable estimation of the settlement of the composite foundation.Based on the existing related research results, the settlement prediction of pile composite foundation uses the vector of pile and its carrier pile composite foundation settlement calculation formula and the method of settlement prediction of post construction, including the hyperbola method, the consolidation of log with legitimate method(the method of the three points) and Xingye method, and at the construction site of carrier pile composite foundation settlement is measured, the measured values are compared with hyperbola method calculation values, which is pointed out that the hyperbola method has a good correlation.Using PLAXIS software on the carrier pile composite foundation, it establishes a two-dimensional analytical model, and the model calculated values and measured values are compared, the hyperbola method is calculated. The results show that the finite element model is reasonable. At the same time, the application of finite element model analysis of the load, cushion layer, pile distance and the pile diameter and pile end soil modulus factors which are influenced on carrier pile composite foundation.Finally, using a finite element model that the geogrid of carrier pile, the soil cushion of pile’s increasing can decrease the settlement value of soil and pile settlement, while pile diameter and cushion modulus, pile spacing and pile diameter ratio must have a reasonable range.
