Research Of High-rise Residential Buildings’ Design Based On The Characteristics Of The Coastal Cities

ABSTRACT:The large-scale technological innovation of the twentieth century has brought standardization in design and construction of buildings, leading to a rapid development of global cities. At the same time, it has also resulted in the decline and disappearance of urban characteristics; all the cities tend to be the same. This trend is more prominent in rapid developing China; the characteristics of new districts tend to be the same, while the old districts are losing their original features. Beihai City is also facing the similar problems such as lacking of clear orientation, weakening of the inherent features of the city.In recent years, the coastal area of Beihai City, Guangxi Province, has become an urban construction hotspot. Meanwhile, throughout the city, with the constant development and expansion, especially for the highly intense, highly dense, and speedy development of residential land, developers have ignored the integration of residential layout and its relevance of the city while seeking to maximize benefits. The planning and design of residential buildings, especially high-rise residential buildings have largely ignored the impact of urban texture, as well as building scale, shape, volume and color to the city. On the other hand, because of the important position of Beihai City in the Beibu Bay, it is facing the problems of massive population influx and traffic volume increase, which means the large-scale growth trend of the development of residential housing will certainly appear. Therefore, the study of high-rise residential building design of coastal city is very necessary.This paper begins with the study of the characteristics of coastal cities, then analyzes and summarizes high-rise residential building design on coastal cities, and then offers methods and strategies to guide the development and design of residential buildings, especially the high-rise residential buildings of Beihai City through the investigation of Beihai City.This paper is divided into five chapters:In the first chapter, we put forward the problem. It’s a summary of the general content of the study, including the research background and significance, the content and the object, concepts and theories, the domestic and foreign research situation, research methods and the framework of this paper.In the second and the third chapter, we analyze the problem raised. The second chapter starts from the characteristics of coastal cities and the perspective of aesthetics, and reviews the high-rise residential building design of the coastal cities through the analysis and study of high-rise residential building design in domestic and foreign coastal cities and the relationship between the housing and the city. The third chapter starts from the development of residential buildings in Beihai City, and discusses the features of Beihai City and the relationship between high-rise residential buildings and them, the factors affecting the design patterns of high-rise residential buildings, the analysis of the current situation and research of high-rise residential building design, and points out the relevant problems existing in high-rise residential building design in Beihai City.In the fourth chapter, we give solutions to the problem. The implementation framework of high-rise residential building design in Beihai City is discussed here. By setting the positioning, prototype, design goals and design methods, as well as proposing the control strategy and control mode of high-rise residential building design, we provide guidance for the design of high-rise residential buildings in Beihai City.In the fifth chapter, we give a conclusion, summarize the full text. We return to the city again and offer some related suggestions for the development of coastal high-rise residential buildings.
