As the key equipment of the high-voltage switch cabinets, the high-voltage switches are of importance to ensure normal and safe operation of power system; but the joint parts such as the breaker contacts will be in abnormal operating conditions such as the fever high temperature caused by serious fever and even serious accidents such as equipment burned. Therefore, to realize real-time on-line temperature monitoring of the high-voltage switch cabinets is a powerful measure and has important practical significance.Based on the construction project of the on-line temperature monitoring system of the high-voltage switch cabinets of wuhai thermal power plant, this paper analyzes and elaborates the aspects of the design, development and application of the on-line temperature monitoring system. Firstly, based on the comparisons of the existing temperature measurement technologies and according to the engineering requirements to the temperature measurement of the high-voltage switch cabinets due to the special structure, the overall plan of the on-line temperature monitoring system based on the wireless temperature measurement technology is designed, and the implementations of the three function modules are compared to determine, and the key technology problems of system design are pointed out. Secondly, the TC-CW wireless temperature measurement system is used to construct the on-line temperature monitoring system of wuhai thermal power plant according to the design scheme, and the structure, working principle, system characteristics and unique key technologies of this system are analyzed. Moreover, the functions of the on-line temperature monitoring software are designed and realized, and the application functions of the intelligent diagnosis system are expounded such as multipoint real-time temperature monitoring, temperature change trend prediction and temperature warning and alarm and so on. Finally, this paper introduces and analyzes the engineering construction situation and field application effect of the TC-CW wireless temperature measurement system in wuhai thermal power plant.
