At present, the existing thermal power plant in China is equipped with the automatic control system. However, these systems only play a role in the unit condition and parameter control, but not work for steam turbine efficiency evaluation, online diagnosis test and overall performance. The power plant operating personnel do not pay enough attention to the economy in the adjustment process. Thus, it is of great significance for the thermal efficiency improvement to develop the steam turbine efficiency evaluation and the diagnosis system. Based on the steam turbine efficiency diagnosis, this paper conducts the related researches from two parts:one is the diagnosis of the main operating parameters and local efficiency parameters in the steam turbine, which adopts the equivalent heat drop method and deviation method; the other is the diagnosis of the possible thermal equipments fault leading to the efficiency reduction, which adopts the diagnosis method combined with fault tree analysis theories and fuzzy diagnosis rules. Case study and diagnosis test is respectively conducted for a350MW power plant, which proves the accuracy of the diagnosis model. After confirming the diagnosis model, this paper introduces efficiency diagnosis system developed by the above diagnosis method, including Oracle lOg database, Delphi7.0software and its system interface&function, which effectively applied the theory into the practice.
