The problem energy and environment is one of the most challenging tasks in this century. To address this challenge, the development and utilization of renewable energy has become the commonchoice of all countries in the world. According to the consumption rate of energy in China, the traditional chemical will dry up resources in the years after depletion. The search for alternatives to chemical energy and use of renewable energy has become a decisive force of economic development in our country. In recent years, the government give vigorously promotion the development of wind energy, solar energy, small hydropower, biomass energy so as to change the dependence on traditional chemical energy.It is wind power generation that the most common form of energy we use. The flowing under solar radiation forms wind power. Compared with other energy sources, wind energy has obvious advantages. It has the advantages of large reservation, widely distribution, and never dry up. Wind energy is intermittent and instability,whichwill have a huge impact on the operation of power system. At the same time, it is a direction of development of smart grid in future that solving the problem of the wind power accessing system and coordinating grid to operate safely and stably.After the wind farm integrated into power system, affections would have taken place for the operating of the original relay protection and safe automatic device in electric transmission system. It is the same question of the relay protection of the interconnected lines in the220kV power system that both the distance protection and the residual current protection takes the place of the blocking mode pilot protection on the source side, while there is no protection on the other side. Increasing by the integrating power capacity of the wind farms at the current days, it is very necessary that we discuss the affections the integrating power capacity of the wind farms to the relay protection on remaining operating.The above work can adjust the corresponding protection system, so that it can better meet the existing protection device.Considering operation mode and parameters of the equipment of the Jixi power system, wind power generator groups parameter and operating mode of Wind power generators of the Mishan wind power station as the basis, I have made a fault calculation about220kV bus fault on Mishan power substation and Mishan wind farm so that I can give the evaluation of configuration of current protection and setting calculation problems in process of the setting calculation. Then according to the change of parameters such as the source potential amplitude ratio between the wind farm and the power grid, voltage phase difference, the system frequency and equivalent source impedance, I have a qualitative analysis with the impacts of back-up protection as well as the pilot protection. I make qualitative analysis in response to additional impedance caused by the transition resistance. At the same time, I put forward with the new method that fault location can be measured.Next, in accordance with the requirements of relay protection configuration and setting principles of relay protection, I make quantitative evaluation on the effect of220kV relay protection device after wind farm integrated into Jixi220kV power grid. I make a detailed argumentation of action of the relay protection from the power supply and the wind farm spot, from Positive direction and Reverse direction and the symmetrical fault and asymmetrical fault. In view of the current protection configuration, we will put forward the improvement of configuration of protection function and pay more attention to the question in the process of setting in Jixi power grid220kV system.Thesis topic comes from the problem of what we are paying close attention to in the process electricity industry practice. The deep discussion and solution about these problems will provide some reference for relay protection configuration and setting practice of wind power tie line, and have promotional action the cordinate developmentof wind power and power grid in Heilongjiang province.
