Since the offshore wind energy available to develop is3times the onshore wind energyin China, the development and utilization of offshore wind energy in our country has broadprospects. Compared to onshore wind power,offshore wind power have several advantages,such as better wind resource, economizing on land resource,electricity consumption locally byinterconnected into load centers directly. On the basis of renewable power planning in thefive-year plan for2011to2015, we could forcast that offshore wind power takes on a trend ofaccelerating development. In this context, research on the influence of offshore wind plant onpower system and the planning principles of offshore wind farm integration has become anurgent and important issue.The current study on wind power integration is mianly concerned with the influence ofonshore wind farms on power system and the operation controls of power system after windfarm’s interconnection into grid. The planning principles of wind farm integration, especiallythe offshore wind farm, is still lack of study.This text is concerned with wind farm modeling and planning principles of offshore windfarm integration,and the conclusion could be used to guide the planning of offore wind farmintegration to coastal cities in which offshore wind power development has broad prospect.According to the structure and operational characteristics of wind energy turbine, anelectromechanical transient model of wind energy turbine is built. To verify the applicabilityand reliability, the electromechanical transient mode is compared to both the electromagnetictransient model and the wind turbine model in BPA program through theory analysis andsimulation. By analysing the wind data of an offshore wind farm in Zhuhai, a wind model ofoffshore wind farm for voltage and frequency regulation analysis is proposed. Based on theelectromechanical transient model of wind turbine, a district power system model containingoffshore wind farm is built. The influence of wind farm in the condition of normal winddisturbance and cutting out from rated output is analysed through simulation. The maximumwind power integration capacity of the wind farm integrating to power system in one node orseveral nodes are analysed quantitatively, and the impact of load level,control model of thewind farm and dynamic reactive power compensation are taken into account. The suggestionof voltage classes and mode of wind plant integration is proposed.The influence of offshorewind farm integration on Zhuhai power system is studied through simulation in BPA program,and the analysis in chapter four is verified.
