A large cascade hydropower station has a complex basin topology, compact electric and hydraulic connection etc. Because of the above characteristics lead to the joint optimization of scheduling is more complicated; At the same time, characterized by large capacity, high head and large cascade hydropower station, the optimization is a wide range of optimization calculation caused low efficiency problem. In addition, the grid load and cascade hydropower station inflow uncertainty, has brought a greater negative impact on hydropower station safety, stability, economic operation. Therefore, it is urgent to carry out research on joint optimization dispatching of cascade hydropower station is large, especially the scheduling of short-term responding to the power grid load and cascade hydropower station run off mutation, raise head efficiency, increase the energy utilization rate. To ensure that the cascade hydropower stations on the premise of security, to achieve economic efficiency, the maximum ratio of navigation.Based on the analysis of the traditional optimization methods in solving the optimal dispatch problem of cascade hydroelectric stations, the existence of "dimension disaster", the optimization effect is not ideal, on the basis of the problem, using the systems engineering theory and modern intelligent optimization algorithm, the multi-objective optimization algorithm, multi-attribute decision making method and its application in the cascade scheduling decision was studied. The main contents of this paper are as follows:Firstly, based on statistical theory, according to the Three Gorges-Gezhouba Dam actual data and conditions, calculation process of the Three Gorges-Gezhouba Dam cascade hydropower station of hydraulic building. Through the research on the optimization calculation process, basic data, hydraulic, put forward the optimization model for short-term scheduling of Three Gorges-Gezhouba Dam cascade hydropower stations in mathematics. To create the conditions for the use of intelligent optimization algorithm based on the mathematical model; then, using the weighted method to optimal scheduling problem in a multi objectives into single objective problem, and the model was solved by adaptive genetic algorithm based on the improved Sigmoid curve. According to the hydraulic data of Three Gorges-Gezhouba Dam cascade hydropower station operation rules and algorithm optimization of formulation, the Three Gorges Gezhouba Dam short-term generation scheduling; Finally, in the analysis of the single objective genetic algorithm has the advantages of high dimension, nonlinear, the searching range and other characteristics in dealing with the optimization problem of cascade hydropower station, there are weight coefficient by subjective factors effects of large, the optimization results, the calculation efficiency premise single low defects, the continuous decision variables optimization results better non dominated sorting genetic algorithm-Ⅱ(NSGA-Ⅱ) to optimize the scheduling model, get the non-inferior solution set of optimization scheduling problem. Then introduced the TOSIS decision method of fuzzy set theory solution set of non-dominated solutions selection optimization problem, the scheduling scheme of cascade hydropower stations dispatching demand with the provides a new idea for solving the Three Gorges-Gezhouba Dam cascade optimal scheduling problem.
