Because of the high speed development of economy will inevitably lead to the increase of the energy demand, energy problem was the current hot topic. However, the traditional energy supply was accompanied by serious environmental problems, so the research of Green energy will be the main research direction in the future. Wind energy was a kind of Common and renewable green energy, and wind energy reserves in our country was huge, so Wind power had become a key point in the research of new energy in China. The research of wind turbine in China worked very hard and made good results. Research of wind turbine was given priority to with computer aided calculation, but Research by experiment method was few, so this thesis will research the related performance of wind turbine with experimental method, and the computer results as a reference.This paper depends on the engineering modification project of ZeMo mountain wind farms, the main job of the engineering modification project is increasing diameters of the blades of a turbine from50to52meter and the change of the performance in the engineering modification project is the research contents of the thesis. The research of wind turbine’s tower has three parts:the first part was was simulating the wind turbine’s tower by means of CFD; the second part was the field experiments of the wind turbine’s tower; the last part was comparing results by the two methods. The numerical simulation of the wind turbine’s tower is done by AWB. In experiments, the stress was measured by pasting strain gauge on the inside of the tower, the top horizontal displacement of the tower was measured by hanging a heavy hammer and displacement sensor, the natural vibration frequency was measured by acceleration sensor. Through the experiment testing, we could fand the changes of tower’s performance after modification project.By research, the maximum stress of wind turbine tower after engineering modification in V=25m/s increase from134MPa to150MPa,it was Increased by11.9%.the maximum stress of wind turbine tower was far less than the material allowable stress, so it didn’t have a safety risk. Displacement of the top of tower increase from370mm to412mm, it was Increased by11.4%. because the distributions of the truss mass and stiffness barely changed, the natural vibration frequency of two kinds of wind turbine tower were0.49HZ. In the calculations of maximum stress and displacement of the top of tower and experimental result,we discover that tower stress and displacement of the top of the tower was directly proportional to the square of the wind speed.
