In children’s growing up, campusenvironment has the potential of intangible and enormous influence, on children’scognitive, language, emotion, morality, personality, interests, such as behaviordevelopment has an important role. Modern significance of the elementary schoolcampus is not only a place for learning, more should be a place to provide experiencefor children and play, combine learning with entertainment. Now research onarchitecture design more and more involved with other disciplines cross-link,especially in the field of psychology, and child psychology is an important part of thisarea. This article is based on the research background and development trend,combining with the results of the elementary school campus enviro nment at home andabroad, and the children’s psychology theory to analysis and study, sum up someaccord with children’s psychological characteristics of primary school campusenvironment, the design method of the campus environment design for the primaryschool to provide realistic guiding significance.In this paper, starting from the development course of primary school campusenvironment at home and abroad, the analysis of development trend andcharacteristics of the elementary school campus environment design. And in changshacity on the basis of survey and questionnaire analysis of several elementary school,summed up the6~12years old children’s psychological characteristics, including thecurious behavior, imagine behavior, competition behavior, sports behavior and thegame behavior. Combining architectural design theory knowledge, analysis of severalmajor behavior psychology and the relationship between campus environment design,accord with children’s psychological campus environment design is p ut forward,including establishing a variety of function layout, flexible rich space level;Encourage construction established between nest on foot, providing spacious trafficspace; Through the creative architectural form, the unique landscape art aesthet icvalue.
