In recent years, China’s railway transportation industry develops rapidly. Marshalling station plays an important role in railway transportation. Research on visual simulation of marshalling station operations can benefit for both designing and station personnel training. Dissertation aimed at the design of visual simulation system for marshalling station operations using reusable scene objects, by which operation simulation of varied structures of stastions can be built easily.Using object-oriented programming method, The overall demands for marshalling station operation simulation are put forward, by analyzing the equipment and operations of marshalling station. The marshalling station is divided into a series of visual reusable scenes objects with the visual appearance and logic functions. Attributes, functions of reusable objects and framework of marshalling station operation simulation program under Unity engine environment are designed.In order to fulfill the requirements of reusing of scene track objects, breaking up the whole into parts method is used, data model for tracks is designed, tracks are divided into two kind of parameteric units and junciton nodes, corresponding3D model and fucntional objects are created. Track parts preset object using the track unit and junction objects are created. Track objects can be build faster using preset track part objects.In order to fulfill the requirements of reusing of scene rolling stock and other dynamic objects, localization for bogies and rolling stocks, rolling stock detaching and disintegration algorithms based on the track data structures and vehicles driving caculations are designed. Corresponding program files are written.3D model of rolling stock, signal system, traffic control are simplified, viewport control are created based on its structure and corresponding reusable preset objects in Unity. Inistantiating these presets objects in the scene can quickly create corresponding dynamic scene objects in the scene. Using a specific disintegration operations as example, a3D marshalling station scene is created using reusable object presets and added process control program, simulation program for disintegration operations in which user can controll disintegration plan and drive locomotive to disintegrate train are created. Thus the feasibility of the system structure based on reusable objects are confirmed.
