With the development of simulation technology of the computer, visual simulation technology is applied aerospace projects widely. A visual simulation of a Reusable Launch Vehicle, which can demonstrates a flight phase with visual patterns, can overcome the disadvantages of a digital simulation that creates large numeric data. That is, this paper has set up a visual simulation system and done the following researches:1 .This paper has introduced three-dimensional graphic application program interface OpenGL, and software development kit VTree of the visual simulation. Several software development kits have been introduced and compared.2.Four human factors in the visual simulation have been analyzed.3.Some objects of visual simulation have been discussed include how to develop a visual simulation and commonly used technology. The principle of antialiasing technology has been analyzed and realized through modeling and hardware.4.Wall type stereo viewing has realized according to the principle.5.According to the need of the flight visual simulation three-dimensional models have been set up through MultiGen Creator modeling software, such as RLV and launch site, etc.6.Satellite image have been introduced. Terrain is studied and set up through Terra Vista.7.The module of the visual simulation has been confirmed according to RLV flight course and virtual prototype system. Adopting the object-oriented technology the modules of the program have been built.8.Transatmospheric environment such as atmosphere, cloud and sky, has been established. Visual simulation program receive data of virtual prototype system through Ethernet and implement the flight visual simulation involving launching, separating, on-orbit flight, re-entry flight and landing.The visual simulation set up of this paper that have very good effects. It can reach to the request of real-time while using. The thesis's work is significant to the system and can make users more convenient to analyze the whole simulation.
