Centrifugal pump is widely used in all walks of life, Large amounts of centrifugal pumps are required in PCB industries, meanwhile special requirements are needed as Chemical etching industry uses corrosive and crystallizable pumping liquid. The design of the pump in this paper is based on installation location for the vertical centrifugal pump. the traditional design method combined with CFD simulation is done to optimize the performance of centrifugal pump. To improve the efficiency of the centrifugal pump, the impeller optimization design is put forward. Material and processing technology of the centrifugal pump is normalized combined with the enterprise production processing, the design and manufacture of the centrifugal pump is of great significance to chemical etching of PCB industry.Based on the design after calculating the main parameters of centrifugal pump, the imported width and shape of the centrifugal pump impeller are selected for CFD simulation optimization analysis. This paper is mainly on the following items:First:The structure characteristics of centrifugal pump used for chemical industries is studied, and the main parameters of the centrifugal pump and the connection between the various parameters are confirmed. The research progress of Marine centrifugal pump cavitation resistance and the research status at home and abroad is introduced.Second:Understand the3D CAD software SolidWorks and use it to create a centrifugal pump flow channel model.Third:Mesh with professional software GAMBIT internal flow of centrifugal pump the grid, set the medium of good physical property, the definition of a centrifugal pump impeller and pump casing boundary conditions.Forth:Files import the Fluent software, grid, change the parameters of the different combination simulation analysis, and analyzes the simulation results, determine the relatively optimal combination.Conclusions:Different import width values will be different degree of change of the centrifugal pump lift and efficiency of the impeller, as in this paper, the design of centrifugal pump impeller of the imported took the66mm width, centrifugal pump has a better comprehensive performance. Impeller passage adopts different imported shape will change the efficiency of the centrifugal pump impeller and cavitation resistance when the centrifugal pump designed in this paper adopts flat type inlet port, the efficiency of the impeller, cavitation resistance, head has a better comprehensive parameters..
