Study On The Application Of Tibetan Weaving Art In Residential Interior Design

Tibetan weaving takes wool fibers and vegetable fibers as major woven materials, with rich design patterns, gorgeous and bright colors, bold contrasting and flexible color composition. By means of different color collocation, Tibetan weaving is with its unique plateau style, that is, bold and bright. However, as folk traditional handmade products, although Tibetan weaving is with strong artistic characteristics, it has not got social attention. Thus, it is urgent to make protection, inheritance and promotion of Tibetan traditional handicraft.This paper is about the study on Tibetan weaving art. By means of literature review, taking the historical background, geographical conditions and local folk culture as the basis, the author analyzes the special art form and survival conditions of Tibetan weaving. After the research, it is found that there is much application of textiles in modern interior decoration, which is with reference values for the application of Tibetan knitted fabrics in interior decoration. By means of various social investigation method, such as investigation, visits, observation and photography, the author makes a comprehensive analysis on the artistic forms and characteristics of Tibetan weaving in aspects of process flow, material quality, pattern and colors. By means of field research, the author analyzes the application as well as the development trends of traditional Tibetan weaving in traditional dwelling houses. Besides, as for the inheritance and promotion of Tibetan weaving art, the author tries to put forward some application methods. Combining with modern interior design, the author makes a detailed and specific analysis on the application of Tibetan weaving art in modern residence interior design, discussing the language, method, form, principle and category used by Tibetan weaving art in residence interior design. In addition, the author points out some limitations of Tibetan weaving art in residence interior design, trying to put forward corresponding countermeasures. Finally, by combining with the design practices of Tibetan weaving art in residence interior design, the author demonstrates the principles and methods use in the design.
