With the rapid development of China’s railway transportation, the rail freight plays an increasingly important role in the national economy, the train’s cargo capacity and transport speed is constantly been improved, and thus greatly ease the contradiction between the transportation industry and the people’s needs of life. But with the attendant are frequent multiple security issues, after investigation, due to the transporters’blind pursuit of speed and profitability, but ignored the phenomena of the train’s overweight, emphasis, partial load and so on; However, these phenomena are the important factor that leading to frequent accidents of the train transport, also they become one of the main factors that troubled our railway transportation, and repeated; In order to solve the existing safety problems of overweight, emphasis, partial load and so on in freight fundamentally, it’s essential to develop a portable measuring equipment that can measure the trains’load condition about overload, partial load and so on in the loading site. In this thesis, the main work is to design a new portable management terminal system of the train wheel load instrument.In this paper, in depth analysis of the functional requirements of the system, selection the16bit PIC24FJ128GA106microcontroller as the core of the micro-control system, developed an inexpensive, portable instrument of the train wheel weight management terminal system; With the collaboration between the system and the lower front-end position machine system can finish measuring of the train timely, in the work, to receive the real-time data that the next bit machine system sending, then the system is responsible for the management of the data information(data reception, computing, storage, display and print). The implementation process of the design are as follows:①realize the communication between the host computer system Main Module and the lower position machine system Sense Module via asynchronous receiver serial I/O port, get the real-time data that the Sense Module measuring;②The host computer system will saved the getting data into SD card;③Design a humane and multi-layer menu interface of the liquid crystal display, and with the using of the thin-film matrix keyboard to realize the control operation of the microprocessor system;④Entering key commands to control the printer printing, and then get real-time weigh documents. This paper gives a complete design of the underlying hardware of the management terminal system of the wheel load instrument, then making a reasonable analysis and careful planning in detail about the design of each hardware module and the selection of each component, afterwards, finished the layout design of the PCB board, the design of the software flow and the writing software, and completed the on-site commissioning. The last, the design has been applied in actual in train’s measurement and in security surveillance about the emphasis, partial load and so on; Thus confirming the design be not only portability, convenient operation but also be low cost,practical good.
