At present, the shortage of fossil fuels and environmental pollution are the two major problems in China. To meet people’s demand for travel, automobile has been a main problem because of the consumption of fossil energy and the pollution of environment. Development of new clean alternative fuel has important value and significance in our country. Development of glucose solution emulsified diesel can effectively alleviate the above problems.As a kind of new renewable fuel, Glucose solution emulsified diesel oil can not only reduce the dependence on fossil energy, but also reduce the pollution of the environment.Due to poor stability,it was necessary to do experimental research in depth.Glucose solution emulsified diesel was configured as followed. Firstly by studying the stability of a single variable effects on emulsified diesel fuel, and thus narrow the scope of the parameter variables. Secondly, the experiment was designed by Design-Expert software, and the experimental results were obtained based on the design of the formula Finally, by analyzing the results, significant factor were got, which affect the stability time of the new fuels significantly. Via the bench test, combustion performance evaluation of diesel engine fueled with new fuel was taken.The experiments including:the economical performances and emissions characteristics of diesel engine fueled with different proportions of glucose aqueous solution; engine performance was researched by adding glucose in emulsified diesel.To study the performance of295A engine fueled with different proportions of glucose solution emulsified diesel fuels, using calibrated model could enhance the precision of calculation while save the cost and workload. Software simulation study on the combustion, emissions, economy of diesel engine fueled with the4new fuels. Using economic and emission evaluation function, the optimum economic emission of glucose solution emulsified diesel had been found, and compared with the test results correspondingly. Under variable loading rates of25%,50%,75%and100%, the EBSFCs of the engine powered by ED15which is comprehensive evaluation of economy and emissions for rated speed was lower compared to the pure diesel, saving rate was5.5%,3.0%,1.1%,3.2%, respectively; NOx reduction rates were42.7%,37.4%,11.9%,12.9%, respectively; HC emissions growth rates were12.1%,39.4%,48%,27.3%, respectively; soot reduction rates were37.9%,30%,52%,47.8%, respectively; CO emissions growth rates were148%241%,52.6%,12.6%, respectively. Under the loading rate of100%full load, the power of the engine decreased at a rate of7.6%compared to diesel fuel. Finally, research on diesel engine fueled with ED15fuel was taken by changing the compression ratio, the fuel supply advance angle, fuel injection, diameter and length of intake manifold.Using ED15glucose solution emulsified diesel, the best matching parameters of diesel engine had been found. The engine power、fuel consumption and emissions of295A engine have been improved after optimization. At rated speed, torque of diesel engine powered by emulsified diesel increased12.2N· m; power increased1.52kW; EBSFC decreased3.65%; the volumetric efficiency increased1.2%; NOx decreased36.8%; soot emission reduced6.9%.
