With the development of industrial production in the way of the high speed andefficient, the domain of the high-speed motor application has been continuously extended,so to develop the high-speed motor with higher level of speed and accuracy and adaptingto various application conditions in the field of motor design is imperative. Due to itssmall volume, high speed, great power density and so on, the high-speed motor produces alarge amount of heat during the process. Thus the efficiently cooling problem has beendrawing growing attention. This thesis has conducted the numerical simulation and theheat transfer performance of three dimensional steady heat flow field aiming at theDW100high-speed water-cooled motor cooling system, so as to explore the coolingmethod which can achieve higher efficiency, and provide the valuable reference for thedevelopment of the higher-speed motor. This paper systematically analyzes the cooling problem of the water cooling systemof high-speed motor based on heat flow field theoretical analysis and numerical simulationof the cooling system. Based on the theoretical analysis of heat flow field, it has analyzedthe main heat distribution of high-speed motor, and has introduced the basic theoreticalknowledge of Heat transfer and Fluid mechanics which are needed in the heat flow fieldsimulation of water-cooled System. It has proposed finite element theory calculations, andestablished mathematical models and three-dimensional physical model of cooling waterjacket by making a reasonable assumption, and has given the proper boundary conditions, and finally carried out numerical simulation to the heat flow field of cooling system byusing the analysis software FLUENT. In the respect of the numerical simulation of thecooling system, it has designed the cooling water jacket’s structure of the high-speedmotor, carried out the numerical simulation of heat flow field among different watercooling structures, and compared the simulation results with the air-cooled structure, bycomparative analysis, it has been reached the conclusion that the structure ofCircumferential Spiral Waterways is relatively good; it has carried out the heat flow fieldsimulation by changing the cooling water’ inlet velocity and height of the spiral waterways, and has selected the best water speed and optimum height waterways through the analysisof simulation results; On the basis of the optimal results above, it has proposed anenhanced cooling form by plus cooling fins in the waterway, and it has carried out thesimulation by changing fins height and number on both sides of the waterway, through the contrastive analysis of the simulation results, this thesis has got the optimal fin height andoptimum number of values, and has verified that plus fin structure in the waterways hasbeen fairly enhanced cooling effect. The research work has been done in this paper provides some reference and guidancefor the cooling system’s waterway design of the high-speed motor, and also provides ascientific basis for the enhanced cooling of water-cooled motor.
