Withsocial progress and development, the demand for electric power systemstability becomes more and more high. Sudden breakdown of the power system will bringhuge economic loss and very bad society influence. So it is necessary to monitor thecondition of the device in the power system in order to know the condition of power devicewell. It can give a earlier warning when the power device is going to aging or have thetrend of sudden breakdown. When we monitor the condition of the power device, thereal-time of monitoring is an important aspect. In order to solve the problem, we can userour lab’s real-time simulation platform into the field of condition monitoring of powerdevice. The specific work includes:1. The study and research of the technology of power device’s condition monitoring. Inorder to implement the technology of power device’s condition monitoring in the real-timesimulation platform, we have a research on the technology which give a focus on MOA’scondition monitoring.2. Research and implement of MOA’s condition monitoring system based on real-timesimulation platform which include the design if the hardware framework of the monitoringsystem and transplanting of the algorithm of MOA’s condition monitoring to QNXsimulation computer.3. Modern smart substation user the IEC61850standard to implement the datainteractive of the IED in the smart substation. If we want to use our power device’scondition monitoring system into the smart substation, the system must comply theIEC61850standard. The work gives a modeling method of the IEC61850standard used inMOA’s condition monitoring system as an example.
