With the development of power electronic technology and the high-speedmachining technology, high-speed electric spindle industry receives more and moreattention in relevant fields. High-speed motor as the core component has also obtainedthe widespread development in in the defense industry and machinery processingindustry, and the demand for high-speed motor is also increasing. Not only improve theproductivity, but also improve the surface quality of the parts and machining accuracy.Because of its characteristics of simple structure and low cost, asynchronous motor isthe main type of high-speed motor. Rational design of high-speed asynchronous motorhas also become the important problem of electric spindle industry for researchers tosolve.The speed of high-speed asynchronous motor is proportional to the power supplyfrequency. It is hard to get the loss curve of materials at high frequencies in normalcircumstances, thus special methods are required to calculate the core loss of highfrequency. The accuracy of loss calculation directly affects the efficiency, the ratedspeed, current density and other key performance parameters of the motor. The paperestablishes the calculation model of core loss by introducing the loss coefficient, andintroduces iron-based amorphous alloy instead of traditional silicon steel sheet in orderto enhance the magnetic properties of the iron core.For the structural characteristics of the high-speed asynchronous motor withsemicircular slotted rotor, the effective length of the air gap will be determined and theslot leakage reactance of stator and rotor and the rotor harmonic leakage reactance willbe calculated. Considering the characteristics of the construction of semicircle slot ofrotor, realize calculation of the special slot leakage reactance using Matlab. Integrate thehigh-speed asynchronous motor calculation program into GUI module in Matlab, omitthe process of cumbersome lookup of traditional design, and simplify the parametercomplex input process from other motor design software. Users can quickly view thebasic performance of the motor.According to the design characteristics and the analysis method of high-speedasynchronous motor, analyze the feature of electromagnetic design about4105rpmmotor. Some key problems of design will be raised in the corresponding solutions suchas slot combination, motor heating and power factor. According to the equivalent Tcircuit model, electromagnetic design and analysis of the4105rpm motor are carriedout through the RMxprt module in Ansoft module and GUI interactive interface for thehigh-speed asynchronous motor design built in Matlab software, and the results of them will be compared. And finite element analysis is necessary for the distribution ofmagnetic field and eddy current field and loss condition by transient Maxwell2D.
