Daylighting in buildings is very important for users, which not only helps toincrease study and work efficiency, but also conducive to people’s physical andmental health. Recently, there are more and more atrium in buildings and atriumspace play a very important role in both the building function and architecturalphysics environment. Enough natural light has great effect on forming ahigh-quality pleasant atrium space and the design of atrium with the considerationof the natural light will bring more light to the combined spaces, which will reducethe artificial illumination energy consumption and contributes to the energy-savingand pollution-reducing. Different atrium space forms and atrium materials causedifferent daylighting effect. This article focuses on influence of atrium sectionforms on reflectance distribution under overcast sky. In this paper, the auther firsttests scaled models under an artificial sky to prove the accuracy of the computersimulation software Desktop Radiance, and then uses this software to simulate lightenvironment of large amount of models, and carries on the statistics and analysis ofthese simulation results to get the impact of the variational section forms on thelighting effect in an atrium combined space. This paper studies four types of sectionchanges, the inverted pyramid form, the pyramid form, the odd number floor inward, the even number floor inward, compared with the no change all-same-highreference model with the straight up and down vertical wall, and draws thecorresponding changeing rules. The auther puts forward the corresponding designstrategy considering of different kinds of building light environment requirementsin order to improve the quality of the atrium light environment of buildings in theend. The author hopes the basic work of this thesis can contribute to the future morein-depth study, at the same time can provide some reference for the design of futurearchitectural atrium light environment.
