The traditional control method of China tower crane are speed performance is poor, low efficiency, high energy consumption, this paper has conducted the research to the tower crane hoisting speed control system, the main research contents are as follows:Two main types of speed control mode of the tower crane pole changing speed and series resistance speed exist large mechanical impact, trajectory distortion of the two main issues, study on the mechanical characteristics of the movement. The effective way to solve the problem is to change the existing step speed regulating mode, to realize the stepless speed regulation.The study of asynchronous motor core power equipment on the motion, to realize stepless speed regulation, only to change the motor frequency. Then the principles of the main electrical equipment inverter to change the frequency of the structure, analysis and study of control methods. Which demonstrates the feasibility of application of frequency converter in speed regulating system of tower crane. Frequency control scheme for the three characteristics of the organization design of tower crane, luffing mechanism with no feedback vector control, slewing mechanism adopts U/F group drag control, using vector with speed feedback control lifting mechanism. And determined the selection mechanism of electronic device.The lifting mechanism of big starting torque, work load change range of characteristics for the tower crane, the analysis focuses on the hoisting mechanism of the mechanical properties of frequency, load characteristics, and calculation of braking mode. The simulation was carried out simple. Also the design scheme in the actual installation and debugging in the matters of attention. Finally, through the practical application effect are compared.The simulation results of simple and the actual application effect, uses frequency conversion control system greatly improves the reliability of tower crane, safety, and economy. Frequency conversion control system has a good application prospect in the tower crane.
