With the flexibility layout of design, less restricted by terrain features, curved box girderbridge becomes a important means to achieve the various links in the direction of trafficinterchange project, so widely used in bridge construction. In this paper, as the basis of actualproject, assisted with the structural finite element software MIDAS CIVIL2012, for thespecial coupling effect of bend-twist in curved box girder bridge, analyzed different designparameters which impact the internal force and deformation. carried out the followingresearch:1.Based on fundamental analysis theoretical of curved girder bridge, defined the relevanttheories and methods suitable for the curved inclined web box girder, recommended the beamgirder model theory that has considered the space force, so that lay a theoretical foundationfor the research of this paper.2.With the practical engineering for the research, respectively established spatial single-beam model, beam girder model and plate element model. Under different load cases, bycomparing the results of the reaction forces and the deflection, confirmed reliability andpracticality of beam girder method in analysis curve inclined web box girder bridge.3.Based on the beam girder method, three important design parameter which impact theinternal force and deformation of curved box girder is discussed in detail: curvature radius,high-span ratio and wide-span ratio. The results are listed as follows:(1)The distance betweenthe inner and outer deformation is greater as the curvature radius decreased. This means thecoupling effect of bend-twist is more obvious when the curvature radius is smaller.(2)Withthe increase of high-span ratio, the distance between the inner and outer deformation issmaller. This means, as the high-span ratio is increased, the bending resistance and torsionresistance is increased, the coupling effect of bend-twist is less obvious.(3)With the increaseof wide-span ratio, the distance between the inner and outer deformation is greater. Thismeans, with the increase wide-span ratio, the coupling effect of bend-twist effect is moreevident under the same load.
