As an important part of the vehicle, suspension has a great influence on ride comfortperformance, driving comfort performance and operation stability performance of the vehicle.Compared with traditional passive suspension, the active suspension system can adjust thevehicle parameters according to the actual road state of vehicle, and always keep the vehiclesin the best driving state. However, active suspension system is a very complicated system, it’sdifficult to achieve good control effect by conventional control. Therefore, that the intelligentcontrol applied on the active suspension control has a great historical significance.The research core of this paper is the Fuzzy control and Fuzzy Neural control system ofthe active suspension. First the paper analyzed the evaluation method of suspension system,the basic characteristic of the suspension and the conditions of the model assumptions, andestablished a quarter of two degrees of freedom vehicle dynamics model of the passivesuspension and active suspension. Then the paper carried on a research on the control systemof the Fuzzy control and Fuzzy Neural control, Through analyzing the composition andprinciple of fuzzy control system, Fuzzy controller is designed, at the same time, the fuzzycontrol rules and fuzzy reasoning have been established; Through the study of NeuralNetwork Control theory, it has been combined with Fuzzy Control, using the neural networkto train the fuzzy control rules, a fuzzy neural controller has been designed. Finally the paperhas completed the simulation experiment for the passive suspension system and activesuspension system which is controlled by fuzzy and fuzzy neural principle usingMATLAB/Simulink software, and gave the simulation results.In this paper, the evaluation indicators of suspension performance is the body verticalacceleration, vehicle dynamic deflection and wheel dynamic load, the comparison ofsimulation results shows that the performance of fuzzy control active suspension is farsuperior to the performance of passive control suspension system. Therefore, it can prove thatthe fuzzy neural control is applied to active suspension control system is very effective.
