Research On The Development Trend Of Customized Business Bus Based On Alleviating City Congestion

With the development of national economy and rapid advancement of urbanization,the mechanization has increased distinctly in china. As there appears the method of unorderlysprawl in the process of urban expansion, it causes the separation phenomenon ofaccommodation and work for urban residents, which increases the commuting requirementobjectively. On the other hand, although private cars have experiencing significant rise in theproportion of travelling, the number of private cars is still at rapid speed, which generates lowutilization of city roads and overburdened operation of urban traffic. Because of these badtraffic environments, it emerges widely concerned problems such as fuel waste andenvironmental pollution.In order to solve the problems of urban traffic, most big cities have tried to adopt severalcompulsory guidance measures such as limited purchasing, vehicle restriction, improvingparking fees, expanding traffic supply. However, from the perspective effects, none of themcan solve the urban traffic jam fundamentally. Public transport lack attractiveness for privatecar owners, the main reason is unsatisfied travel conditions. Therefore, to meet diversifiedtravel demand for passengers, it emerges customized business bus that is between urban busand taxi.Taking the example of customized business bus in Beijing, customized business bus hasthe feature of one seat for one person and non-stop, which is attractive to private car owners.Because it has independent pricing different from ordinary bus, the bus companies respondpositively in the development of customized business bus. Besides, many cities have madesome constructive efforts in the field of customized business bus such as the first-tier cities ofGuangzhou and Shenzhen, second-tier cities of Jinan and Qingdao. Since the promotion inBeijing, the routes of customized business bus has been developing rapidly in a short period,which produces significant effects in easing traffic congestion, saving energy, protectingenvironment, reducing the pressure of parking space and lowering the risk of trafficaccidents.Thanks to its special operating way, customized business bus is not only different fromordinary bus, but also different from highway coach. It needs a re-orientation and new design.This dissertation proposed some basic rules of developing new models by combining theoperation characteristics of customized business bus. Considering the survey data of theopened routes in Beijing, the actual requirements of passengers in customized business bus are analyzed, which provides data support for developing new models. Furthermore, thecharacteristics of pure electric bus are researched in detail. The conclusion is that pureelectric bus is in line with the operation characteristics of customized business bus. And theconcept is proposed that customized business bus is new market entry point of pure electricbus.
