The vehicle under overload is becoming more and more severity and cold regeneration ofasphalt pavement is becoming more and more extensive. This paper reference aboutspecifications and related technical literatures, through the method of finite element analysisprogram ANSYS, adopt a typical cold reclaimed asphalt pavement structure, according to theelastic modulus, density, poisson’s ratio and other physical parameters of layers to establish acalculation model. Use moving load, analyzed and summarized the dynamic characteristics ofeach structure layer, especially the cold regeneration layer under the action of the overload. The study status of cold regeneration asphalt pavement in China and abroad introducedin the introduction, The main study contents and innovation points were listed. In the secondchapter, the paper introduces the related mechanical theory, provided a theoretical basis forlater analysis. In the third chapter, according to a kind of typical cold regeneration pavementstructure and the grounding areas, pressures under overload, a finite element model isestablished. In the fourth chapter, analyzed the every direction of the dynamic displacement, dynamic stress, dynamic strain, the horizontal dynamic response of shearing stress and thelateral dynamic response of shear stress when under the standard axle load. In the first quarterof the fifth chapter, compared with the dynamic response of each structural layer of coldrecycled asphalt road when they in different overload rates and in different thickness of coldregeneration layers. According to the analysis results, We may safely draw the conclusion thatthe damage of pavement structure by overload is far more serious than that by normal load. Therefore, when making asphalt pavement design in some special areas(such as miningarea), we must consider the factor of overload, otherwise the design of pavement structure iseasy to destroyed, entering into maintenance period advanced. In the second quarter of thefifth chapter, When making the pavement thickness design to ensure the basis of the roadperformance. It summed up the best thickness of cold regeneration layer, suggested that thethickness of cold regeneration layer is advisable to take20cm to25cm. At this point, notonly the mechanics indexes reach the best, but also reduce the project cost effectively; In thethird quarter of the fifth chapter, took thickness of cold regeneration layer is15cm. Comparedwith the dynamic response of each structural layer of cold recycled asphalt road when they indifferent overload rates and in different thickness of cold regeneration layers. According tothe analysis results, with the increased speeding, the stress of each structural layer has tinydownward trend, show that the speed had no significant effect on the pavement structure. When both the overload and the high speed impact on the road, the sudden braking producegreater braking force, that will bring a series of damage to the pavement structure. We mustconsider it.In the paper, the final results show that cold regeneration of asphalt pavement with goodintensity that can ensure the road has higher bearing capacity, to meet the general road withthe performance requirements. But the overload effect on cold recycled asphalt road is huge.We should be strict to control the overloading in traffic management to ensure the quality andservice life of the road. This paper provides scientific basis for cold regeneration technique inthe construction and design.
