| In recent years, highway transportation enterprise obtaining the considerabledevelopment has been made a significant contribution to national economic and socialdevelopment, at the same time, the occurrence of traffic accident also caused heavycasualties and huge economic losses, and had a negative impact on the steadydevelopment of the society. Highway traffic accidents are often affected by manyfactors, including highway cross-section factors which can not be ignored.This paper summarizes and analyzes the relevant relationships between highwaycross-section and traffic safety, running speed, and establishes accident predictionmodel taking into account highway cross-section factors. On the basis of that, thispaper regresses and analyses the relationship between the two-lane highway roadbedwidth, pavement width, lane width, shoulder width and traffic safety, and then revealsthe rules of the two-lane highway cross-section factors impacting on traffic safety.Combining with relevant research and field observation data, this paper alsocalculates the running speed value under transverse impact factors, and summarizesthe rules of highway cross-section factors impacting on free flow speed. Since theresearch in this area started late, and lack of a theoretical basis and support, this paperintroduces some accident prediction models which have broader applicability scope inabroad, and on the basis of that, selects an appropriate accident prediction model, andthen tests, adjusts the parameters, and preliminary validates the applicability of themodel in our country, laying the foundation for subsequent work. |
