Voltage quality is an important indicator of power quality. In many power qualityproblems,voltage deviation is the most serious, widespread harm to the grid, which will notonly directly affect the performance of electrical equipment, but also poses a potential threatto the stability and security of power system operation, and even cause the system voltagecollapse, causing widespread power outages. A number of domestic and internationalblackouts have been attributed to reactive voltage problems. Therefore, Targeted for reactivepower and voltage problem analysis and countermeasures accordingly propose solutions has avery important significance for grid security, stability and economic operation.The reactive power and voltage optimization model and optimization algorithm werereviewed in the paper, as well the direction of the research was pointed out. The researchstatus of Var/Volt control method of distributed generation integrated into distributionnetworks were analyzed. Combined the analysis of the current research status, Some problemsand deficiencies of the existing reactive voltage control study on distributed generationintegrated into distribution networks were pointed out; On the basis, Some research topics areproposed for research on Var/Volt control method of distributed generation integrated intodistribution network from DG complementary planning level, Reactive Power Compensationplanning level, DG Var/Volt control level, distribution network Var/Volt control level werepointed out.The paper takes Guilin grid for example, the operational status of which was analyzed,even operating characteristics of Guilin grid was summarized. To the220kV power grid highvoltage and other problems in Guilin, For the first time presents a reactive hierarchicalbalanced analysis method was first presented in the paper. Through reactive hierarchicalbalanced analysis, reveals the220kV grid inductive reactive surplus is a key factor in causinghigh voltage problem of Guilin grid. Then, the reasons which caused Guilin grid reactivesurplus were analyzed. Thus a conclusions was draw that Guilin grid need to be inductivereactive power compensation plan.Two existing inductive reactive compensation (Low-voltage and high-voltagecompensation method) principle is analyzed. To determine the ultimate inductive reactivecompensation scheme, A compare system from multiple angles(incluing the effect of voltageregulation, adapt to the future development trend of the grid, economy, newly installedsubstations feasibility compensation device) were pointed out. The Guilin grid calculateresults show that: Low-voltage compensation method is superior to high-voltage compensation method, and Low-voltage inductive compensation scheme can solve theVar/Volt problem exists in Guilin grid. For the quantitative assessment of inductive reactivepower compensation for voltage gain more exposure limit, the indicator of "voltage violationsrisk"and "risk-benefit" were introduced in the paper, a practical method for calculating thevoltage violations risk benefit was proposed.Systematic and in-depth research work carried out in this paper is applies to the sameoperating characteristics of the regional power grid to Guilin grid, which has great theoreticalsignificance and promotional value. The proposed inductive power planning comparisonsystem starts a new way for scientific choose inductive power planning in power system.
