The C919aircraft pylon is a kind of statically indeterminate support structure, designed with themethod of integrated propulsion system. Compared to usual pylon structures, its load-transmissioncharacteristic is more complicated. So, accurate measurement of the interface loads between pylonand wing/engine is the key to the pylon static test. Therefore, according to the test requirements ofinterface load measurement, the paper studies the load sensors on development and application.Based on the range and accuracy requirements of load sensors and the configuration analysis ofan existing sensor, two configuration sensors of solid line-contact and solid point-contact are studied. In order to verify the effectiveness of the latter configuration, a validation test is conducted. Theresults prove that the static characteristics and measuring accuracy of solid point-contact sensor arebetter than that of solid line-contact sensor, and not affected by its installation position. Thus, according to the interface load size, the two configuration sensors are carried out the structure design, strength check and calibration test to obtain the load equations.Combined with the structure form and installation condition of the pylon, a set of static testsystem is developed. And at the phase of limit load test, the sensors studied above are successfullyapplied in measuring the interface loads between pylon and wing/engine. In addition, the axial loadsof the connecting rods corresponding to mounted sensors are measured, to analyze the accuracy ofsensor measurement value. By the comparison results, it is shown that the maximum measurementdeviation of sensors is7.38%, satisfying the interface load measurement requirements.
