The negative effects of the current fast urbanization have been widely discussedby the whole society, which did not only bring a heavy load to the air, soil, biosphereand water, but also create the especial artificial environment and water landscape withthe emerging use of the reinforced concrete. Buildings replace the forest; pipes take theplace of the infiltration, and the decreasing nature lake is facing a more serious test. The water is an vital part of the urban supply system, so how to manage the urbanlifeline and to relieve the crisis of urban nature water shortage has been the key issuefor us. It has been reported that most of our drinking water is from the lake andunderground water, and the lake also decides the flow of most river. They also havevery close relationship with the open space, so the ecological planting landscape designfocusing on the lake is a multidisciplinary study that synthesizes the water ecology, planting ecology and the ecological landscape design. This study is going to discuss the design solution and strategy for the specificenvironment landscape problems in the regional background. The use of differentmethods from various disciplines does not only expand the vision of this article, butalso make this article integrated in different areas. By looking at the landscape designof the lakeside ecological plantings, this essay tries to find the way to build the urbanforest, and to reach the aim of stopping the degradation of urban water quality andprotecting the ecological landscape, which will meet the demand of improving theurban environment and could be the reference and theoretical basis for the relevantlakeside planting studies in the future as well.
