Office as an important place for people working and communicating daily, thequality of indoor lighting not only directly affected work atmosphere, and produced agreat impact on people’s psychology and physiology, which affected people’s workefficiency. The purpose of this paper is to study different cognitive abilities usingexperiment, and combined with subjective evaluation and physical responses, to analyzethe effect of different illumination conditions on the staff work performance, thus, it isarrived at the most suitable illumination required for different tasks.Firstly, this paper analyzes the impact mechanism model of indoor environental towork efficiency, then combined with knowledge of cognitive psychology andphysiology, explained the evaluation method of staff efficiency and establishedevaluation model of staff efficiency, and it selected representative cognitive ability testitems for the light environment; Then, it studied the effects of different illuminationconditions on people’s subjective evaluation、cognitive ability and physiology responsesusing experiment, the analysis revealed that the illumination conditions of maximumwork efficiency for people; Finally, it simulated the office environment in the differentlight model with DIALux software, And by comparing the analysis, it is arrived at thebest lighting distribution model for office environment. The main results of this studyare as follows:1)It studied the effect of illumination on cognitive ability by setting differentillumination conditions in experiments, and it obtained a result that illumination has asignificant impact on the output performance of cognitive tasks, and it has the highestoutput performance of cognitive tasks when the illumination is300-500Lux.2)It studied the effect of illumination on the staff physiology, and it obtainedvariation with illumination of the heart rate and blood pressure. The results showed thatillumination had a greater impact on heart rate and had no significant effect on otherphysiological parameters.3)Based on an office of Chongqing University, this paper simulated differentmodels of interior space light environment, and by comparing the simulation results ofdifferent lighting models, it is arrived at that the best lighting layout mode.4)Based on cognitive test method,it proposed three index for evaluating staff efficiency,i.e., accuracy (AC), reaction time (RT) and performance indicators (PI).
