Transformer substation plays a role in connecting hub in the power systems. When ittransforms voltage level, it also has the effect of receiving and distribution of electricalenergy. In modern electric power industry, the development of a variety of electricalequipment that towards the trend of large capacity and high voltage has brought greatchallenges to the safe operation of the transformer substation. The electrical fault oftransformer substation happens in heating anomalies of the equipment, even directly iscaused by overheating of the equipment. Therefore, the real-time temperature monitoringof electrical equipment has become an important measure to guarantee the safe operationof the transformer substation.In this paper, on the basis of analyzing the traditional substation temperaturemeasuring method, combining with the fiber Bragg grating sensing technology, presents anew design of temperature measuring system. The scheme uses the fiber grating astemperature sensor, using the passive, and the advantages of resistance to electromagneticinterference, non-flammable, to contact of the switch, transformer, power cable laying andsensitive parts such as joint bending for temperature monitoring.The principle of fiber Bragg grating sensor are analyzed in theory, on the basis of thetemperature characteristic of fiber Bragg grating made a concrete analysis; Introduction tocontrast the advantages and disadvantages of all kinds of demodulation method, choosethe adjustable F-P filtering method as the design of demodulation method.The substationelectrical equipment wide geographic distribution, the overall point more characteristics ofmonomer, combined the technology of reusing designs a temperature measurement system,the system of photosensitive road, signal demodulation circuit module for the selection ofdesign, and based on the LabVIEW software design of the matching of upper machinesoftware.Set up the laboratory simulation system, the software used in peak algorithm andcurve fitting formula is verified; At room temperature environment under the designedtemperature measuring system, verify the written software usability. Further analysis andresearch, and the results of the experiment prove the feasibility of the presented scheme.
