The flow measurement is an important part of the scientific measurement, which hasbeen widely used in various fields of the national economy, electromagnetic flowmeter isone of the most widely used flowmeter. Electromagnetic flowmeter is widely used in thenatural gas flow measurement, and the installation requirements are relatively common.The study on the influence of installation requirement on the performance ofelectromagnetic flowmeter is developed in this paper.First, the paper describes the research of electromagnetic flowmeter, on this basis,the working principle of the magnetic flowmeter are analyzed, the Bernoulli equation andthe continuity equation are used to deduce the magnetic flow measurement model for thefollowing experimental study,which lays a good theoretical basis.Then, the actual experimental device works and every part are introduced, on thebasis of this experimental device, the computer software platform for the analysis of theexperimental data is designed, the software process were analyzed in detail. Baffles usedin the experiment are choosed, the experimental program is designed and the process isintroduced.Last, different length of straight pipe and upstream choke pieces were experimentalstudied, the length of straight pipe under the conditions of different precision ofelectromagnetic flowmeter are studied and compared, based on the measurement requestof the accuracy at±1.0%and±0.5%. After that we get useful conclusion for applicationin the future.
