Research On PXI Reconfigurable Instrument For Missile Tests

Abstract/Summary:
Each type of missile needs a model missile test system. For this reason, missilecomprehensive test system has high development costs, maintenance complex, andit is not convenient to upgrade. Missile test requirements have been analyzed andreaserched, according to the demand, the PXI reconfigurable instrument design andkey technology have been researched. The PXI reconfigurable instrument addressthe problem of remote upgrade and maintenance, what’s more, it can satisfiesuniversal test requirement derived from different missiles or various test periodswith the same missile.For the needs of the missile tests, FPGA reconfigurable technology has beenanalyzed and researched, FPGA configuration model and configuration files havebeen researched. FPGA dynamic partial reconfiguration technology as the core,based on the SOPC system design method, in-depth study of embedded Ethernettechnology, the embedded file system technology and the SOPC sincereconstruction technology, reconfigurable loading board and function board havebeen separated, this design as a kind of design scheme was adopted. PXIreconfigurable instrument has been designed, based on the dynamic partialreconfiguration technology of the FPGA. PXI reconfigurable instruments has thefunction of local and remote dynamic reconfiguration based on the dynamic partialreconfiguration technology of the FPGA. Which supports8kinds of mirroringconfiguration and2GB configuration files, with a good configuration rate. Theinstrument driver based on IVI-COM has been researched. The local PC softwareand remote PC software of the PXI reconfigurable instrument has been designed byLabWindows/CVI software. The two application examples, including PXIreconfigurable RS-422/RS-485serial communication card and PXI reconfigurablescanning A/D card have been designed based on PXI reconfigurable instrumentdesign proposal. The PXI reconfigurable design proposal and key technology of theinstrument have been verified, and the corresponding PC software has beendesigned.In PXI reconfigurable RS-422/RS-485serial communication card, for example,local dynamic partial reconstruction has been verified and tested, including PXIinterface rate test, local dynamic partial reconfigurable test and reconfigurationtime test. Remote dynamic partial reconstruction has been verified and tested.Including ethernet speed test, file system reading and writing tests, remote dynamic reconfiguration capabilities and reconstruction time tests. Test results show that PXIreconfigurable instrument based on FPGA dynamic partial reconfigurationtechnology can satisfies universal test requirement derived from different missilesor various test periods with the same missile by reconstruction of the instrument.
