Shenzhen OCT old industrial area renovated into creative and cultural park, therenovation has its own characteristics. From an ecological perspective, there are stillmany problems in the renovation of OCT old industrial area. The optimization strategyproposed for the existing renovation will specified in the direction for more renovation,but also provides a reference for the similar renovation projects and to promote theoverall development of OCT.Domestic and foreign experts have a lot of research and practice in the renovationof old industrial areas, which can be summarized the renovation mode, value andsignificance from the ecological perspective. Development and construction ofShenzhen OCT based on green concepts, its old industrial areas renovation reflects theecological characteristics. The park is divided into two parts, north and south regions,the renovation of Southern District is completed and the North part is still in process ofrenovation. We select the OCT old industrial areas as research object and choose anecological perspective as a starting point. From the current situation, the renovation is tocreate environment-based model. The renovation is characterized mainly reflected infour aspects, including environmental construction, architecture and space renovation,materials, waste recycling, human needs and cultural continuity. Analyzing therenovation from an ecological perspective situation, we summed up the advantages andthe disadvantages of the renovation. From ecological perspective, we proposed the basicpath of the renovation: the renovation route of fitting environment, low-tech ecological,carbon saving as well as the protection of human and cultural.With the guidance of renovation routes, we proposed the optimization strategy forthe renovation problems. The strategies of fitting the environment are proposed for theuse of space and landscape design. For the old buildings in the lack of energy-savingdesign, low technological strategies are proposed. From the ecological savingsperspective, the strategies about saving materials and simplifying the constructionprocess are proposed. For the problems of the traffic organization, human activity spaceand industrial culture, the strategies of humanized and culture protection are proposed.Through the renovations of OCT industrial areas are optimized to achieve the ecologicalobjectives. Optimization renovation strategies for OCT old industrial areas are theguides and references for other projects.
