Self-lubricating spherical plain bearing, which possesses strong bearing capacity,the excellent resistance to impact and abrasion, to adjust center automatically, can bearradial force and axial force at the same time and don not need to be maintained.Therefore, it are widely applied to engineering machinery, heavy card, aerospace,military industry, new energy, water conservancy, railway locomotive and so on. Onaccount of starting relatively late in the field of self-lubricating spherical plain bearingin our country, the reliability and long life of self-lubricating spherical plain bearingwas researched rarely and can not be evaluated by uniform test platform and teststandard. In addition, the life experimental of self-lubricating spherical plain bearingcosts an amount of time and money and the experimental results has large discretenessand low reliability under the condition of normal stress,which hinder the developmentof the life theory of spherical plain bearing and Inspection and update of product ofspherical plain bearing. However, accelerated life test of spherical plain bearing withadvantages of high efficiency and reliability, make up the shortcomings of theconventional life test under the condition of insuring consistent failure mechanism.This paper combined the advantages of spherical plain bearing life tester at home andabroad, come up with the overall scheme of the spherical plain bearing accelerated lifetester under composite oscillating condition and accomplish detailed design,calculation and checking, installation and debugging of life tester. According toseveral groups of accelerated life tests of certain type of self-lubricating spherical plainbearing, the reliability and stability of life tester was inspected and the life of sphericalplain bearing was discussed under different oscillation conditions. The main researchworks are as follows:The overall scheme of the spherical plain bearing accelerated life tester undercomposite oscillating condition after feasibility analysis was designed. This scheme not only realizes composite swing of self-lubricating spherical plain bearing but alsocan implemented life experiment for four sets of test bearing at the same time; It canimplemented accelerated life test and tribological performance comparison test. Thisdesign scheme has high efficiency and wide application range.Processing and assembly drawing of all parts and general assembly drawing wasdrew. In order to guarantee the rationality of the design of the testing machine,assembling and kinematics simulation of all parts of tester was executed by pro/Esoftware. The design of the test system and loading system of tester was accomplishedand the related standard component was selected and purchased. The tester can realizehigh frequency motion for spherical plain bearings, and the wear loss and frictionaltemperature can be detected on line.The foundation of spherical plain bearing accelerated life tester was constructedand the assembly and commissioning works of transmission system, test system andhydraulic system were accomplished.Moreover, the errors of main parameters weremeasured and analyzed. The operation results show: the tester run smoothly, isoperated simply and conveniently, has a little error in main parameters and highautomation;The measurement system of the tester is high precision and accuracy;Hydraulic loading system of the tester has big load, splendid performance of maintainstability of the pressure, a little load error.Several groups of accelerated life were done for self-lubricating centripetalspherical plain bearing. It would be found that accelerated life experiment of sphericalplain bearing can be done in this tester and the test efficiency is greatly improved.According to the analysis of test data,it would be discovered the accelerated life ofspherical plain bearing is shortest under the condition of compound oscillation,islongest under the condition of rotary oscillation in the same cases of frequency,angular, load. It also suggests that different working conditions of swing have certaininfluence to the life of spherical plain bearing.
