Along with the urban construction scale, urbanization process is accelerated, promptedthe rapid development for the construction of the urban residential area, the area of roadtraffic facilities with the development of the residential area is more and more obvious.Construction of road traffic facilities in our country, there has been no specific standards,result in uneven road traffic facilities in residential area construction in our country, triggeringa series of traffic safety and environment problems, such as residential area increased trafficaccidents, traffic congestion, community environment, community residents between shallowand so on, these problems seriously affect the quality of life of residents in the communityand the quality of life.Xi ’an as ten dynasties the ancient capital, has the profound historical culture and thetypical regional characteristics, in the construction of road traffic facilities in urban residentialarea has its own rules and characteristics. This thesis choose xi ’an as region, in combinationwith multidisciplinary knowledge will be the object of study identified as residential area ofroad traffic facilities. Paper first xi ’an residential area can be divided into different regions,different, different size, different quality, different building s five types of property rights, inaccording to the present situation of each type in proportion to the number of community, atotal of28selected representative area as the object of investigation, the road traffic facilitieswill be the main content of the village road traffic facilities: road form, inward and outwardset, parking facilities, road safety facilities and traffic five aspects as the core content of theinvestigation, the investigation content is classified according to different types of residentialarea, summarize the content. In inductive contrast method, chart analysis, comprehensiveanalysis, system analysis, the content of the investigation concluded that xi ’an residentialarea of road traffic facilities its own characteristics and law of development. According to theinvestigation analysis results and the relevant specification, from three aspects of facilitydesign, construction, management summed up the xi ’an residential area set Suggestions andmeasures of road traffic, residential area for the new or renovation of road traffic facilities toprovide the reference, the paper the results of a survey can also for later xi ’an residential areaof road traffic facilities construction specification provides the firsthand material. The main content of the thesis is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is theintroduction: determine the research object, research purpose, research significance andresearch method, defining the relevant concepts, the review of the current situation of roadtraffic facilities in residential area survey studies theory and related theories, researchmethods and facilities research framework of this paper is put forward.The second chapter forsurvey: survey part first clear purpose, choose survey method, determine the research object,according to the factors affecting the present situation of road traffic facilities in residentialarea design content in field investigation, questionnaire investigation, interview investigationcontent, finally summarize the content.The third chapter is analysis: using contrast method,chart analysis method, comprehensive analysis, system analysis, the content of theinvestigation analysis results are obtained.Chapter iv for the Suggestions and measures: inview of the xi ’an residential area of road traffic facilities problems of survey results, theoptimization measures and Suggestions.The fifth chapter is the conclusion: this paper mainlyresearch the summary of the research results, find place to live in the area of road trafficfacilities survey research methods, summarized the xi ’an residential area of road trafficfacilities construction situation characteristic and law of development.The main conclusions are as follows:(1) residential area of road traffic facilities research method: collecting data by fieldobservation, recording, questionnaire investigation and interview method;Analysis methodsusing inductive contrast analysis, chart analysis method and comprehensive analysis method.(2) xi ’an residential area and characteristics of road traffic facilities: area characteristicsby the village region, road traffic facilities construction of s, the influence of the scale, quality,property rights, one of the main construction of the residential area is the effect of s, as thecommunity build time update, village road traffic facilities construction is more and moreperfect, the higher the traffic safety environment quality.
