| In highway construction, the control of compaction speed and times of the compactionmachinery are the important ways to ensure the compaction quality and improve the quality ofhighway. However, at present the main monitoring method is mostly in sit monitoring,supervisory staffs supervise the compaction process at the construction site. Due to the limitedmanagement staff, and the number of the compaction machinery is numerous, it is difficult tomonitor all of the compaction machinery in real time. In order to manage the compactionmachinery, it needs a remote monitoring of the compaction machinery equipment to realizesupervision of the compaction machinery.To solve the problems above, remote monitoring system of the compaction machineryhas been developed which adopts the embedded technology, GPS satellite positioningtechnology and GPRS wireless communication technology. It can monitor the compactionmachinery working status in real time and make early warning for over speed. The systemmainly includes the vehicle monitoring terminal and the background management system.The vehicle monitoring terminal includes the data acquisition module, the power module, themicroprocessor unit and the wireless communication module. The data acquisition moduleconnects with the signal control unit of the compaction machinery. It collects the signals suchas ACC ignition signal, vibration opening and closing signal, vibration strength signal and soon. And it sends these signals to microprocessor for processing. The power module connectswith the on-board storage battery. The Vehicle monitoring terminal is powered by it and if theabnormal situation appears, the internal spare battery supply power for Vehicle monitoringterminal temporarily. The Wireless communication module uploads the data to backgroundserver. The background management system mainly includes the WEB server and the dataserver. The software function is realized by using B/S architecture design. The backgroundmanagement system stores, manages the data and displays it, and that issues variety ofinstructions.It has been found that this system can realize the optimization of whole road compactionmachinery configuration and improve labor productivity. It can monitor and control the work status of compaction machinery including the vibration of press open-close status, thegeographical location, and the work speed, and so on. As the most important advantage, it canwarn those who violate operating regulation as well as locking the vehicle, set the alarmthreshold and generate reports, etc.The research achievements of this paper have very important sense to ensure the qualityof road construction, and can be considered to provide technical reference and data supportfor other highway construction information management. |
