As the combination of the car technology and electronic technology, automotiveelectronic control technology both can improve the performance and reduce emissions, saveenergy, it is a more effective technical measures to solve the contradictions of the currentvehicle and environment. Automotive electronic control system is composed of sensors,electronic control unit (ECU) and the corresponding actuator. Position sensor is widely usedin the automotive, it provides line displacement or angular displacement signal forECU.Position sensor is one of the most basic and important sensor in automotive. HALLsensor is a kind of magnetic sensor, adopts non-contact measurement method, no wear, worksstably and reliably, small in size, very suitable for angular displacement measurement. Thispaper designed the vehicle programmable linear HALL angular displacement sensorcomponents, research content can be described as follows:At First, the working principle of different types of angle sensor applied to the car areanalyzed and compared, mainly analyzes the advantages of the HALL angle position sensor.And then designs HALL sensor components, including: choices HALL device analyzes andselects permanent magnetic material and soft magnetic material, designs the magnetic circuit.Magnetic circuit design including two types: hollow square structure and ring structure;Followed by using finite element software-electromagnetic field analysis module ofANSYS. Simulation analysis was carried out on the magnetic circuit structure is used toevaluate the sensor linearity, magnetic induction intensity in the center of the magnetic circuitwere obtained through the simulation calculation by the change of the angular displacement,shows a curved relationship between magnetic induction intensity and angular displacement,then solving linear error of curve with a linear fit. Last use an measuring experiment to testthe feasibility of magnetic circuit;Finally, the programming methods of HALL device are introduced, including theprogramming pulses, programming related registers, telegram etc. Designs The programmer’shardware circuit, hardware circuit is mainly composed of power supply system, microcontrollerand interface communication module, voltage modulation module, and the last the calibration method of HALL sensor is introduced.
