With the development of materials science, structural calculations and analysis tools isprogressing, construction methods and processes have some innovation. Cable-stayed bridgegrew up rapidly in the1990s. Cable-stayed bridge has become an important part of the bridgeconstruction. However, cable-stayed bridge is a flexible structure of high staticalindetermination. The construction process has great relation with bridge status. Thisrelationship brings complex internal forces changes to the bridge structure. Because of thesecharacteristics, the construction control analysis of cable-stayed bridge has become animportant research topic. Chaoyang bridge is in the city of Yulin. On the basis of studyingpredecessor’s work, Chaoyang bridge construction process which had been set before wassimulated and calculated in this paper. The main control parameters of the bridge wereproposed. Every stage construction of this bridge was measuring and tracking at the basis ofsimulation results. Measured construction parameters were compared with theoreticalcalculation values. It guides the construction process.First, the paper summarized the history of cable-stayed in China and abroad, anddiscusses the study status of construction control about cable-stayed bridge. The definition,tasks and contents of construction control about cable-stayed bridge were summed up afterreading a lot of papers. Simulating calculations of the full bridge is very important for theconstruction control of cable-stayed bridge. The simulation results would be more accurateand reasonable, if the factors affecting the bridge construction control were considered in theprocess of simulating calculation. The factors were discussed in this paper. And two structuralanalysis methods of construction control were discussed which are commonly used incable-stayed bridge.After the calculation methods of construction control were confirmed, simulationmethods of every structure about cable-stayed bridge were discussed in the process ofsimulation analysis of construction control. Using these analysis methods for ChaoyangBridge, three-dimensional model of the bridge was built by engineering softwareMIDAS-CIVIL throughout the construction process. Then the built model was simulatingcalculated and analyzed. In the construction control simulation analysis for the construction characteristics of the bridge provides a reasonable simulation model, that is, when the analogcable-stayed bridge support construction can use only compression unit,when simulate theconcrete filled steel tube bridge tower can be using the combined sections. This approach canbe more realistic simulation of the actual state of this part of the bridge member. While thesimulation results of construction control were analyzed in detail, and were compared with themonitoring results. The monitoring results and the completed bridge load test resultssummarized the analytical method for the calculation of prestressed concrete CFSTcable-stayed bridge construction control is accurate and reasonable. The study results havesome references to the construction control of similar cable-stayed bridge.
